Packed Up and a SCRAPATHON DAY

Good morning Ladies

Well..... these are some photos of some of the supplies you wonderful, generous ladies donated. And talking about generosity the wonderful freight company RAND have donated the freight from here to Queensland for us!!!

Altogether we have - 7 of those mega big boxes (thanks Linda for aranging boxes for me)- SIX boxes of paper - totes, (which have other totes and punches in them!) and the Sizzx Machine and dies.
The response was overwhelming, clearly some stores went through all of their shops as well and donated stock(Tomorrow Memories had HEAPS- thanks ladies xox).

Because we had SO MUCH STUFF, Mel and I spent a few nights sorting and packing for Michelle. (my Hubbies face was a classic with stuff everywhere for a few days LOL!)

We took out anything that was opened or half bits of paper etc so now we have a HUGE bunch of stuff left .... Mmmmm what to do

WELL ..........

Mel and I are organizing a SuperScrap for any ladies who are interested in creating layouts to send to Sharryn Thomson (Rising Waters Flood Relief)

SUNDAY 27th February ................. 9am-9pm

The TuartHill/Yokine Scouts hall have donated their venue
(Yay- a little rickety and old but a free clean venue to meet at)

Entry will be Nil as you are donating your time to do layouts or cards for the flood relieve.

We will have PAPER and EMBELLISHMENTS (and some paints) to make the layouts with - All you need to bring are your own tools and adhesives to create, create, create !

But wait there is more..... We will be selling on the day

Cold cool drinks $2 per can
Tea, Coffe or Milo $1
Cupcakes Mini .50C
Maybe some choclates?

Maybe a raffle or two ??? ... ... ...

We will even have a special prize DONATED BY DUSTY ATTIC Chipboard company for the lady/ladies who do the most layouts (12x12) and layouts (8x8) and cards on the day.

So, grab your tools, a cushion (because I take one LOL - and it is 12 hours !!!) and your loving spirit and come and join us for a get together Scrapathon.

Pick up days

Hello Ladies

First I would like to say a big thank you to all of the stores that have been collecting for us but a BIGGER THANK YOU goes to you - for donating your excess goodies.

I know of a store that got a bit of "flack" for collecting for Queensland and NOT for Carnarvon people here in WA who are also flooded - I would like to say that if anyone knows of someone that needs their stash replenishing in Carnarvon or surrounding areas to email me and I will absolutley send some of the stuff to them. It is not that we forgot about our own beloved state it is just that the amount of people affected in QLD was mind blowing - SORRY If we have upset anyone in this process of trying to help but all you neeed to do was drop me an email!

So without a further a-do .... these are the days/dates Mel or myself will be collecting from the stores

WEDNESDAY 2nd Feb 2011

Scrapbook Central - Joondalup

FRIDAY 4th Feb 2011

Inspired Crafts - Cannington

SATURDAY 5th Feb 2011

Smudge & Sparkle - Ellenbrook

SUNDAY 6th Feb 2011

Just Scrapbooking - Jandakot

Scrapbooks from the Heart - Canning Vale

Scrapbook Secrets - Maddington

MONDAY 7th Feb 2011

If you miss any of these you can email me (Jenny) and I can give you Michelle's address to send directley to her. Mel will also take anything dropped off at Scraptivate to be sent as well.

If you have any queries please just drop me a line

Stay Safe - and thank you again

Jenny & Mel xox

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening Ladies

I thought that a blog would be good for all the Information to be on one page
(all links are on the sidebar)

MICHELLE JAMISON is collecting all scrapbooking supplies to be distributed out to the flood victims that have lost their supplies! (I would be devistated myself)
Of corse this may seem a bit trivial in the grand scheme of things with housing - clothes - food and water being the most obvious things needed.
However in a few months when everything has calmed down a bit and people start to rebuild their lives - this is when the little things will matter as well.

Mel Connell and I (Jenny Burns) are collecting from stores in Perth to send onto Michelle. The stores are listed on the right hand side and we are going to collect after the 1st February - so ladies you have heaps of time to get to a store near you.
I know some ladies have already done so - thankyou from the bottom of my heart.

SHARRYN THOMPSON has also started to collect donations of already completed pages (without photos) - she will collect all the layouts and collate into albums ready for people to add photos too.

Rising Waters Queensland Donations - link is on the right

Mel and I will also collect these for Perth people and send onto Sharryn - these can be donated at the same stores.

Sharryn's collection is for any hand made crafts at all - If you Sew - Knit - Crochet - anything at all

I remember Drew got a knitted teddy when he went to hospital with asthma when he was only little - to this day he still has it and cherishes it (he is now 14! - dont tell him I told you) - so any little thing can mean the world to another.

If you are a facebook friend you will also see that
Your creative Journey have some awesome artwork by artists over the world on silent auction with all the proceeds going to the flood victims

Thank you again for everyones support and help

Together may we help even in a little way
